First I’M NOT A HEALTHY LIVING BLOGGER.
I’m miles away from being healthy/happy/lively etc. women (well you get the idea)… But it doesn’t mean that I’m not striving to it. So I did this survey to check how much do I fit into the “healthy” profile.
1. What did you eat for breakfast?
Coffee.
Well I have failed at the first question already. Ha-ha.
I have never been a breakfast eater. Ever. Even as a child. At the beginning of my recovery I have tried doing it and I hated it with my whole soul. So no breakfast.
2. How much water do you drink a day?
I can’t even tell you how much I drink. I literally chug water and then re-fill my glass. I’m always thirsty and I drink a TON! Is it possible to drink TOO much water?
3. What is your current favorite workout?
Weight training!
I lift 3 times a week.
Also I signed up for the Pilates recently but hadn’t time to addend even once. Bad me.
4. How many calories do you eat a day?
Right now I eat around 2000, but not to a T. It’s always different!
5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
NUTS! Fruit, dried fruit, all kind of cheese, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, rice cakes.
6. What do you usually eat for lunch?
It depends what I’m in the mood for, what leftovers we have, what I’m planning for dinner, etc. I do love my salads though!
7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
My BACK!!!!
8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
This is a hard question since I love everything. I’d have to say triceps maybe? Idk!!
9. What are your “bad” food cravings?
Nut butters! All and any kind.
10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
Yup! BCAA’s on workout days. I try to remember to take a multivitamin and calcium too, but it’s usually sporadic because I forget.
11. How often do you eat out?
Not too often! I’d say like once a week or so, maybe twice, and usually on the weekends!
12. Do you eat fast food?
Nope!
Does sushi count?
13. Who is your biggest supporter?
My BF.
14. Do you have a gym membership?
Duh!
15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
Man, just recently I started to sleep normally. By it I mean 6-7 hours. Bulimia has made me insomniac. That truly sucked. I need at least those 6 to function. So for the last month I love my sleep.
16. Do you have a “cheat” day?
No. If I really am craving something, I’ll have it! Take a glass of wine for example, I don’t consider that an entire “cheat day,” if I want it, I’ll have it.
17. Do you drink alcohol?
See above. Haha, I actually don’t drink that often. On weekends though!
18. Do you have a workout buddy?
No.
19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a Healthy Lifestyle?
Whoops, as I said, I’m not a healthy living blogger, but my attempts made me feel better than ever!
20. What was the last healthy thing you did?
Took my vitamins. I remembered!
The End.

Doing my best, Leonor.
Thank you for stopping by. BTW you have the most adorable fashion blog!
My dear Greta, Your days sound oh so healthy! I realise it’s easier said than done, but you absolutely know what needs to be done to nourish your body. I personally could never live without breakfast. I totally think that because you refuse to eat it, despite what regular ‘recovery’ strategies suggest for bulimic control, that you are exercising a very healthy habit… understanding your body and acting on your likes and dislikes. Mwah to a healthy post, you fabulous non-healthy-living-blogger!
I agree with you on listening to one’s body. I guess none of former ED sufferers are completely free from body and food obsessions. And I do not mean in a bad way. As you have said we create our own coping strategies we are comfortable with. As I’m not 18 and I have a hell of number of years suffering from my ED; I doubt I would ever obtain a complete freedom from ED thoughts. Not that I’m not trying.
I will tell you this, pretty girl, since I’ve stopped trying to obtain freedom (because I am a perfectionist and failure means FAILURE which is mind numbingly intense – imagine hiding under my covers for three hours screaming like would a cocaine addict intense), I have become freer of the thoughts. That is my recommendation to you. Allow it to happen naturally.
I love your honesty, Greta. It takes honesty with ourselves most of all in order to truly change things. You’ve come a long way, and I can see you going further.
Keep up the good work and never lose hope xxxx
Thank you for believing in me, beautiful. Sometimes I feel stuck in some kind of recovery phase; but when I look back I see a HUGE progress; so no relapse for me is still an improvement.
xo.
I’m not a healthy living blogger either, because with healthy living, I associate balance, and that’s something I miss. I’m an extreme character. I do too much on soome things (music, work) and too little on others (exercise …). But it works for me. I’ve accepted to live according to how I function, and since that is different from how other (most …) people do, I may come across as extreme. But I don’t have a problem with that anymore. It’s just me, and i I’m fine with it, it’s okay. I also eat a special diet, so not “everything in moderation”. I don’t eat breakast (never ws a breakfast eater), so yeah, I skip what’s supposed to be “the most important meal of the day”. Boo. I drink plenty of tea with almond milk instead, but eating a real breakfast has always made me feel sick. Healthy is what works for you to be and stay healthy. When you deviate from the standards (and I do *all the time*), well then the standards are not for you. It’s that simple. However, it’s not always simple to make other people understand.
I hear you on people not getting one’s choices. I’m tired to explain to everyone my celiac disease, so I just say I’m on the diet and let them think I have an ED (which I actually have) And it seems it’s not me, but those whose food offers I refuse are more frustrated than I am.
