Wake up and I’m already late. Because I love sleeping but I love dozing even more, turning over under my duvet and telling myself the three famous words another five minutes. Black coffee is absolutely essential to pull up the blind. My favorite radio program. The phone is ringing and the computer is turning on. A shower smelling coconut. The fight with my hair. And, at the end, the first real, hard, encounter of my day: meeting with my closet which, is even being full of clothes (and some of them still have H&M label of € 9.99), looks like a desert to my drowsy eyes. And in the front of it, I finally get – my day has already started. And that life is made of choices, sometimes difficult (black skirt or creamy blouse or skinny jeans or blazer?). And that I’ll have to run, even wearing high heels. And that I’ll need to roll up my sleeves. And not just white shirt’s ones.
I’m managing all that on the run during the busy Tuesday and shooting to participate in WIAW party at Peas&Crayons hosted by beautiful Jenn.
I wish you all a great day!
Oh, is there anything you ALWAYS do during your morning rut?
Love, Greta

Oh I love your food pics! Thanks God I am eating breakfast, otherwise I’d probably eat the letters of my keyboard. 🙂
My morning rut is ALWAYS wake up, splash the face with cold water, meditate, drinking hot lemon water, workout, shower. Oh and then the closet , yes, a desert ! 🙂
Greta said:
Haha – the desert!!! Why is it that we always see mirages in our closets? 😀
And I need to learn to meditate. I know how huge difference it can make to my well being. Enjoy your pancakes (?), hun 😉
swissfitchick said:
Of course pancakes!!! 🙂 Meditating changed my life. Meditating with positive affirmations is changing it right now even more to the better. I can only recommend it!!
Greta said:
Ugh…
I have to get to this, ASAP!!

Lovely photography!! All those food pics are so mouth watering!! 🙂
Three things that I can’t do without every morning are- having 2 big glasses of warm water followed by a cup of black tea, exercise (which I do every alternate days) and then take a nice bath! 🙂

A bath in the morning!! I’m so jealous. Isn’t that the most relaxing thing ever? I don’t find time for it even during the weekends 😦

Beautiful pictures, as always! That salmon looks so delicious. I almost always work out in the morning (I don’t feel the same if I don’t) and then I make time to eat breakfast…I hate being rushed, even though it happens sometimes! 😉
Greta said:
Oh, I know… the workouts make the difference and I hate to be in a rush as well… but lately it’s becoming habitual 😦 Agh!

Yogurt/cottage cheese/raspberries…YUM! When I was working, I always had my outfit figured out the night before. Not able to think in the morning. It’s too hard to figure out what I wanted to wear! Have a great day, Greta!
Greta said:
Oh, I know Fran… I should do that too – think ahead!! And I always plan it, but never do. Bad for me 😀

Oh! Now I plan to do a raw broccoli cheese soup concoction because the boyfriend’s creation looks too divine for words!!! And I want it! Now! But first I am off to buy some kale chips! Your greens have so tempted me. You are a temptress. 😉
Greta said:
Texting my man about the soup’s recipe right now. I’ll be back 😉

Yeah 😦 like he does remember!!! It’s like cook some broccoli and onion, mash those up, add a can of cheese soup and heat it up. Voila!
Like if I did so, it wold be inedible 😦 Why men are just better cooks??
And I wish yo shared something that’s a MUST in your morning. Please. 😉

Hi Greta! I just found your blog through WIAW. Your story touched me because it is similar to mine. I was a dancer and struggled with eating disorders for years. Although I am doing better now, I have to be honest with myself and know that I am not fully healed.
Your photos and meals are beautiful. Looking forward to reading more posts 🙂
Greta said:
Nice to meet you, beautiful Rachel 😉
A dancer – wow! My granny was a ballerina – I saw her struggles with weigh and food, so I’m kind of familiar to the pressure for a dancer to be fit.
I’m glad you are doing so much better now!
And thank you for your amazing comment 😉

I like my food to look good – anyways, your vegan treats make me think turning into vegan as well 😀

One thing I do every morning at dawn is open the door to the chicken coop so the chicken ladies can go outside. And I feed them.
Another thing is feeding dear kitty, she always want to eat first thing in the morning.
Sometimes I go back to bed after that but usually I get up.
Broccoli is a good base for a creamy soup. I also use cooked cauliflower with celery root. I puree them together and it’s a lovely base for other additions. Oysters added to that is yummy.
Your food of course looks fantastic. Does it help you keep on track to do this weekly show case?
Greta said:
I knew your mornings had something to do with the chicks 😀 You have a “problem” sweetie 😉 You always put others before you! You are the kindest person in the universe!! 🙂
And I always eat well on Tuesdays, as I know that I’ll be showing my food to the world. The other days I cheat a little – skipping on meals (usually breakfast) or overeating a bit. Overall I like that I don’t think of food much at all. Anymore.
Gel said:
Ah, maybe I do have a ‘problem’….but I always (almost always) get a rest with a movie in the afternoons, and I don’t work for anyone, I stay at home and get to work at my own pace on projects I like doing…that sounds pretty gentle on myself – doesn’t it?
Greta said:
Aw, I’d like that too – cozy afternoon – sounds like heaven!
Sorry to call your gentleness a problem. It’s mine! Big one. I’m struggling dealing with it.

Your meals look so good! 😀
With me it’s teeth brushing first thing in the morning. Then hot ginger water and the first tea with almond milk. And a cigarette. 😛
Greta said:
Ok, before I forget I have to comment on smoking… as I don’t… only when I’m with the ones who do 🙂 Bahaha!! It’s kind of a ritual with my friends (a few, but still) So if we ever get together I might surprise you 😀

Honestly, you’re not eating food but artwork. Everything looks fantastic and almost too pretty to eat.
Such a beautiful way of describing your morning routine, too. Mine is similar in certain ways especially when slipping back into bed after turning off the alarm. As well as not finding anything to wear once I do decide to get up – or rather have to.
Greta said:
Aw, thank you for such a beautiful comment 😉
I’m glad I’m not alone not perfect 😀 Especially in the mornings.

YESYESYES snoozing is sososo much sweeter than sleeping and WHY?? Perhaps its because of the being naughty aspect.
Your food pics- as usual — are gorgeous.
